Wildlife Interaction

Alberta Sustainable Resource Development (ASRD) requires that Three Sisters Mountain Village implement wildlife management measures compatible with ASRD initiatives. Specifically, Three Sisters Mountain Village is required to complete a Wildlife/Human Interaction Prevention Plan (WHIP Plan).

The WHIP Plan outlines Three Sisters Mountain Village strategies to minimize and/or prevent wildlife/human interactions. The policies and recommendations outlined in the WHIP Plan are applicable to the entire Three Sisters Mountain Village property.

The WHIP Plan provides a framework for developing more detailed site-specific plans with each phase of development. Site-specific WHIP Plans are submitted to ASRD as part of the development approval process where warranted if the main WHIP Plan does not address site-specific issues.
