Welcomes New Members to Golf Team

Calgary, AB (March 13, 2006) Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club (SCG&CC) is pleased to announce the hiring of John Munro as Clubhouse/F&B Manager and Randy Luft as Executive Chef. Both individuals have experience in their fields that span over two decades.

John Munro, recently appointed as Clubhouse/F&B Manager, brings International experience to SCG&CC. In 2005, John operated privately as part of a high-end incentive travel concierge service and exposed him to some of the finest golf courses and hotels in the world, such as Augusta National and Pebble Beach. Prior to this, John worked as Clubhouse Manager at SilverTip for six years. Additionally he has worked in F&B with the Delta Kananaskis, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and Fairmont Banff Springs, where he managed the Alberta dining room and the Golf Clubhouse.

“John's extensive experience with some of the finest golf courses in the region and internationally will surely be a great asset to the company and strengthen or team even further,” Greg Andrew, VP Golf Operations.

Randy Luft, recently appointed as Executive Chef, has an extensive culinary background that has been developed through the hotel and restaurant business. One of his biggest triumphs was his promotion to Chef at the Eden Dining Room at the Rimrock Resort in Banff, where his expertise helped the restaurant earn the prestigious Five Diamond Award of Excellence from AAA. The Rimrock is only the sixth restaurant in Canada to achieve this award. Other accomplishments include being a member of the Banff Spring's Convention Team, and most recently as Executive Chef at Murrieta's in Canmore for the last three years.

Greg Andrew, VP Golf Operations notes, “Having designed numerous food programs, encompassing everything from the highest level of fine dining in the country, to extreme volumes of up to 2,000 guests/day, Randy is sure to take SCG&CC’s culinary efforts to a new level.“
